Vocational Training students at the Student Company Fair

This year, once again, Vocational Training students working in the culture of entrepreneurship in classrooms joined Eibar in the eighth edition of the Estudenpresa Feria. Around 2,000 students developed products and services in their schools throughout the morning in the tents and stands located in Txaltxa-celain Square and Untzaga, as part of the Estudenpresa program aimed at promoting entrepreneurship. This year, the number of Estudenpresa projects displayed at the fair reached 376, all from students from 81 vocational training schools in the Basque Country.
Participants in the opening of the fair and after the stand-by visits were participants: Rikardo Lamadrid, Director of Technology and Advanced Studies of the Basque Government, Miguel de los Toyos, Mayor of Eibar, and Iñaki Mujika, Director of the Research and Innovation Center for Vocational Training.
These products or services developed by the students were entirely from different fields and sectors, such as healthcare, hospitality, computer science, energy, robotics, beauty and beauty, construction or agriculture.
The apprenticeship program
An apprenticeship program is an educational program that is developed around the creation of business schools in classrooms. The goals of this project are to bring the business world into classrooms and to promote the development of entrepreneurial skills: creativity, innovation, teamwork, decision making, information management, initiative, leadership, commitment, negotiation, and so on. It also aims to bring the student closer to other cultural and social realities and to foster collaboration between schools.
Objectives of the program
Creating a learning enterprise so that students understand what it means to be an entrepreneur.
Develop student skills to become good professionals: employable, active, entrepreneurial, or entrepreneurial in their workplaces.
Raise awareness among students that self-employment is another good option.
What is it doing?
Students will start up a small business in the classroom and carry out all the activities of the company (corporate image, administration, marketing, sales, etc.). They will be real products or services, produced or marketed by them.
