Two applications that we explain here will tell you how much plastic you are creating and how you can reduce it. In the same way you will learn what microplastic you are and how much you know how much you eat because we eat!
We all know bags, bottles, plugs, etc. When they go to the sea, thousands of years are required to turn them into small pieces. They gradually disintegrate but never disappear, in this way they eat very small fish, and then we are. Plastic is everywhere and we create it, undo it and eat it again. We have the solution in our hands: first of all, awareness and second, commitment.
You can easily get two of these goals to carry out two applications:
My little plastic footprint
With this app we are aware of the issue of seriousness and we will start with the things we do today to find the solution. This app is very rich, it has everything. It has a trivial game, with information on ocean pollution and the consumption of plastic of each one. After the game, he develops personalized challenges to reduce single-use plastic.
It's also very interesting because you can personalize our profile: we can say that a family is a child, or a person who is a citizen or a sea, and that's how our consumption will tell us what year it is. Challenges proposed can be accepted or rejected.
Beat the microbead
This application is very useful for discovering cosmetics with microplastic. Yes, those products are also in plastic!
As a result of time, sun and wave activity, a plastic bottle becomes very small, which implies a serious contamination: everything is full of plastics and it is so small that it can not be collected. Additionally, these microplastics do not completely disappear and, with time, they become increasingly smaller.
It is forbidden in many countries to use cosmetic microplastics but there are still many products in the form of exfoliating cream or toothpaste. The following can be read in the application: "These particles, which are almost invisible, go directly from the drain to a sewer, the waste water treatment plants are not able to filter and, therefore, accumulate in the oceans." Do you think it's pretty bad?
For product information, the application reads the product barcode through the camera and shares it with its database to show the user information. It is possible that all products are not in the database, but you can access the products manually.
