The Basque Government has invested 885 million euros for the R & D support of the SPRI Group through its technological programs
Over the last 6 years, 4,895 business projects have been supported. This year, 166.1 million euros will be invested in Hazitek, Elkarte and Emaitek Plus programs
Since 2013, the Basque Government has invested 885 million euros through the technological support programs of the SPRI Group for R & D. In total, 4,895 entrepreneurship projects and 677 projects from the Basque Science and Technology Network (ZTBES) were supported.
On the one hand, 439 million euros were given to companies and the investment was 1,708 million euros. On the other hand, there is money for the agents of the ZTBES; totaling 445 million euros. The latter have developed research projects on intelligent specialization and have used money to improve the results of technology centers and cooperative research centers (CICs).
According to the Basque Government, this year, 166.1 million euros will be invested in this area; of which 83 million will be provided to companies and the rest for Network agents. Thanks to the grants awarded in 2019, it will be beneficial for 80 projects related to business projects and technology centers.
Hazitek, Elkarte and Emaitek Plus are technological support programs that support R & D. Hazitek is aimed at companies, especially those who work in industrial research or experimental development projects. The Hazitek program is supported by the development of strategic R & D projects. Elkarte and Emaitek Plus are aimed at agents of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network.
These grants are part of the Basque Industry 4.o Strategy of the Department of Economic Development and Infrastructure.
