BerriUp, the best accelerator at the state level according to the Funcas 2021/2022 report, has selected the 2 winning projects with Adinberri (with the healthy aging strategy of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa) and Rural Kutxa (with 947 employees to help and advise more than 560,000 customers in everything they need, products and services giving this important added value to the offer) in the 15th call of the startup acceleration program launched together.
In this edition, Darwin Biomedical from Navarre and IngeVital from Donostia were the winners. Both companies will enjoy 4 months of personalized training and will receive an investment of 50,000 euros from the Easo Ventures II SCR fund, through the tools that BerriUp, Adinberri and Rural Kutxa will make available, with the aim of validating their product or service in the market.
Darwin Biomedical designs and develops medical devices for both private and professional use, and specializes in implementing low-cost artificial intelligence into everyday devices, making a valuable contribution to all stakeholders involved in medical care or treatment.
IngeVital, for its part, is a technological solution for the remote monitoring of vital presence and fall detection in residential and domestic environments, thus offering immediate and effective medical attention to these groups.
In the words of Laura Ibeas, CEO of Ingevital, "the acceleration program helps me organize the product development phases more efficiently and teaches me methods of communication with clients that I did not know".
In the same way, as Adrián Jímenez, Darwin's general manager, stated, "as a company we are learning to grow sustainably. Along the way, we are learning to establish human and professional networks that will allow us to improve the lives of our seniors in the most effective way possible."
BerriUp held the final of the 15th call for the acceleration program to decide the projects that will benefit from the program on June 30 at the Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park in Donostia and they had the opportunity to show a total of 7 finalist projects, in front of almost 100 guests, as well as answer the jury's questions afterwards.
