The city’s tourism sector already has a municipal brand: a wink and a green smile for a Pamplona – Iruña ‘Muy viva / bizi-bizirik’. Brand, logo and website are part of the Pamplona tourist destination that will be presented this coming Tuesday, January 21, at the FITUR international fair.
Pamplona’s tourism sector already has a municipal brand, it is a wink from the all-encompassing “Marca Pamplona” to a city that wants to promote itself as a sustainable destination and a tourist product associated with its cultural component.
The new brand is, in reality, a story that is captured in a logo (smile and wink). The slogan that accompanies them, ‘Muy viva / bizi- bizirik’, aims to appeal to the feelings and experiences of those who visit the city. Pamplona is its people, a green and friendly space, historically plural and also enriched by migratory currents, and with an important cultural heritage. What the city offers goes beyond San Fermín.
It is the City Council that must prepare the tourist destination for visitors, and the companies in the sector that have the context and direct knowledge of those who pass through the city.
A website as a work tool, the new tourist brand of the city is reflected in different media and is associated with a website in which information is centralized and where resources are coordinated, to promote the unification of the information that is advertised at any given time. The website visitpamplonairuña.com contains all the tourist resources of the city and also emphasizes differentiating the offer linked to the San Fermín festivities from that of the rest of the year. The website creates routes, marks distances and reflects key points, not only in the city, but also in the nearest emblematic points of Navarra and other nearby autonomous communities.
Sustainable tourist destination: ‘Biosphere’. The brand, the website, the product club and other projects in the making are ingredients of a final objective, to develop a more attractive and competitive tourist destination. Thus, TRADE, the tourist destination Pamplona and its proposal for the year 2025 will also be presented in Madrid. Pamplona has just obtained the sustainability certificate for destinations, Biosphere. This certificate accredits a comprehensive management and positioning system as a sustainable destination, with the necessary support and advisory services.
This certificate seeks continuous improvement towards “Horizon 2030”, according to the United Nations sustainability criteria and its assessment by citizens and tourists, and it also becomes an asset for improving the attractiveness of the destination.
In 2025, Pamplona City Council will offer advice to all entities, companies and organisations that wish to carry out activities in public spaces, with the aim of ensuring that all events apply the concept of circular economy.
