In the first months of the year, the Gipuzkoa Branch has forwarded 324 purchase requests to Gipuzkoa companies working in the field of industrial outsourcing. This is the result of the work done by Subcontex Gipuzkoa. It is a specialized area of ​​the Gipuzkoa Association, and it carries out the commercial promotion of companies that work in our territory under this contracting modality.

Industrial subcontracting, an industrial model that is deeply rooted in Gipuzkoa

It is well known that industrial activity has a great importance in the activity of the territory. Of these, approximately 27% are companies specializing in the manufacture of parts and components for other industries, which gives a great competitive advantage to the rest of the territory's industries. The main advantage is that they are companies with a high degree of specialization in production processes, and therefore do not offer specific products to customers; on the contrary, in terms of speed, quality and price, they can efficiently manufacture several parts, which are then incorporated into a product sold on the market. Like no other, they are companies that master production processes such as machining, boilermaking, forging or casting.

These opportunities are distributed according to specialization among the 90 subcontracting companies in Gipuzkoa registered with the Subcontex Gipuzkoa service.

To obtain these opportunities, the prospecting work carried out throughout the year in the main European markets has been carried out, Subcontex Gipuzkoa has participated in 7 industrial fairs in 5 non-European Union countries, and the XV European Buyers of Industrial Subcontracting. Meetings have been held. 24 international buyers from 7 countries and 73 local outsourcing companies participated in the meetings.

As a result of this activity, the visits of 66 international buyers to production plants in Gipuzkoa were also organized. These actions are essential to establish a relationship of trust between the client and the supplier.
