The avatar of Mercedes Benz

Mercedes Benz introduced its latest manufacturing model called VISION AVTR at CES 2020. The new vehicle's name is VISION AVTR, which is inspired by James Cameron's "Avatar" and is intended to represent ecological mobility and the interaction between the passenger and his / her car, as well as the use of new eco-friendly materials.

In terms of design, this new model is not unlike the current Mercedes range. The automaker claims that the symbiotic relationships in the 2009 science fiction film were what inspired the vehicle's unusual aesthetic.

As described by Mercedes, there are 33 surface elements that can be moved in multiple directions on the back. They are reminiscent of a reptile's bumps and are swollen to add to the car's gesture communication.

Mercedes also finds them helpful in the energy insertion vehicle. This will be deposited in an organic battery cell and as a result the VISION AVTR's battery pack would easily be filled with metal and rare materials.

Mercedes has also used the DINAMIC leather starter - a microcomputer that promises environmental sustainability through its production cycle - for seat upholstery. On the ground, Karuun wood is used.

The VISION AVTR can move laterally at 30 degrees, for example by moving its front and rear axles in the same or opposite direction. Mercedes describes it as a "crab move" and is particularly useful in high-light areas such as cumulative cities.

The vehicle has a multi-function control in the center console. If your hand is placed there, the car recognizes the driver's breathing pattern and wakes up the system. He raises his hand and VISION AVTR projects a menu of different controls under his hands. There will also be a curved screen in front of the passengers.

Owner detection

If the car detects that a family is inside, it will automatically start displaying the adults in the front seats so they can control the rear of the child. The parent pulse is reproduced through the lighting patterns located on the back of their seats. In Mercedes's view, these should provide a "sense of connection and security."

Apart from that there is also the "Magic Pool", the VISION AVTR versions of the rear seat screens. This offer includes augmented reality games and experiences, tailored to young travelers, such as the presentation of interesting landscapes.

This concept of VISION AVTR may never reach production, but some of the issues it represents in terms of more conscious mobility are addressed on Mercedes' future roadmap.

Curious start

We now know this prestigious car brand as Mercedes-Benz, but its origins were two companies that merged in 1926.

This German car company owes its name to an 11 year old girl. The child's name was not really Mercedes, because her name was Adrienne Manuela Ramona Jellin, but everyone in her house lovingly called her Mercedes and took her for the first time over the years, even though her birth certificate didn't show up.

His father was Emil Jellin (1853-1918), a prominent businessman and diplomatic consul who loved his daughter passionately, as well as racing cars, who started fashion in the 19th century. In the last years of the century.
