Together with the Deputy Minister of Education, Jorge Arévalo, this morning he received Basque students who took part in the SpainSkills 2021-2022 Vocational Training Championship this year at the headquarters of Tknika (Basque Center for Applied Vocational Training Research) in Errenteria.
In the 2021-2022 academic year, the Basque Vocational Training delegation that took part in the SpainSkills competition was made up of 63 people: 22 students and 41 other people (tutors, coordinators and representatives) who won the EuskoSkills 2021-2022 competition held at the Ficoba fair in Irun last October.
After winning medals in the EuskoSkills championship, they have worked hard to prepare for the tests that will take place over four months. Students and teachers set off for Madrid last March, full of excitement. And they came back from the trip with very good results, winning a total of 8 medals: specifically, 3 gold medals, another 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. The medals were awarded to students from the following Vocational Training schools in the following categories:
During the meeting at Tknika, and after congratulating the students for their excellent work, Minister Bildarratz spoke about the international reputation of Basque Vocational Training and said that one of the foundations of this reputation is Basque Vocational Training students, who show a good level of wherever they go.
The Minister stated that, apart from the medals obtained, the importance of these initiatives lies in the effort and dedication offered by young people to prepare for these tournaments. In any case, he stressed that since these are tests that are closely related to the profession they are studying, they have a direct impact on the professional preparation of students.
