Isea would like to encourage all companies and organisations, as well as all employees in Gipuzkoa to participate in this study.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, and in particular their “generative” aspect, have recently burst into economies and companies on a global scale. And it is bringing to the table a large number of aspects of enormous relevance: such as the potential derived from the automation of processes, improvements in productivity and efficiency gains, as well as important concerns, especially with regard to their impact on the labour market.
The conclusions of all these studies are very varied, there is a certain consensus on the transformative capacity of this technology on employment, not only because of its impact on the creation and destruction of employment, but also because of the challenges that the labour market will have to face, in terms of the new skills and abilities required for workers in this new environment.
With AI and especially with generative AI, all tasks related to reasoning, communication and coordination will, from now on, potentially be more automatable.
The automation of tasks by Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a phenomenon that will affect multiple and diverse sectors, from manufacturing to financial services. This will result in the elimination of certain jobs, but also in the creation of new roles and the need for new technical and personal skills.
The acquisition of technical skills and the need for new soft skills will become a key requirement to maintain employability in a work environment increasingly conditioned by AI.
The adoption of Artificial Intelligence will also increase the disparity in the labour market between people who have skills in these technologies and those who do not. It will increase job polarisation and inequality among less qualified workers, and will probably also affect women to a greater extent, as they mostly work in jobs more exposed to automation.
In this context, and with the aim of analysing the different implications that the penetration of new AI technologies may have in our nearest future, and better understanding how this transformation will affect our companies and workers, the ISEA Research Centre has launched a Study with the aim of collecting objective data on its impact.
This study will focus on gathering the opinion of companies (from as many sectors as possible), and of workers (with the greatest possible breadth in terms of occupations and jobs). To this end, separate surveys will be launched, which will collect the opinion of both workers and company managers.
To participate in the Study, simply complete a simple form:
The survey is completely anonymous and confidential, and the results will be treated in an aggregated manner. Anyone interested in obtaining more information about the project, its results, and even participating more actively in its development, can visit the website www.lanai.eus, or send a message to info@lanai.eus.
