45 women and 52 men under the age of 30 are on the verge of entering the labor market, thanks to the prestigious BEINT internationalization grant offered by the Basque Government for 34 years to train young people with a university degree in internationalization and foreign trade. This initiative is currently being led by the Basque Internationalization Agency, which is affiliated to the SPRI Group.
Lehendakari Iñigo Urkullu took part in the award ceremony for the recognition of 97 young people who will become part of a group of new talents in the field of internationalization that will meet the needs of Basque companies and institutions.
In a public speech, the President reminded young people that "expanding and internationalizing abroad is also a tool to transform and improve the world" and wished them "to have this experience as an incentive for their professional career, to help them transform and build a better world". "You are an investment made by Basque society, because we have learned better than well that the future of our country is linked to the internationalization," he said.
The President also noted that these scholarships offer a dual option; on the one hand, the opportunity to take practical training and take the first step in your professional career, “and on the other hand, the opportunity for your personal growth, as you get to know another country, a different culture and a different language”. Emphasizing the importance of internationalization as a national challenge, the President assured that “the future is global and will affect all levels of the economy and business and trade, as well as academia, leisure and culture. These BEINT scholarships have placed you on the global stage ”.
"Full employability"
On the other hand, the Minister of Economic Development and Infrastructure emphasized the "full employability" of these grants, emphasizing the aim of this pioneering initiative: "to provide all of you with the necessary training and skills to become key players and respond effectively to the challenges of the open economy. you can. The event was also attended by some of the SPRI Group's offices abroad: María Sarrikolea, from the Munich office; Pablo Fano, from London, and Iñaki Gambus, from Brazil. Among the three, they provided an overview of the fellows, from now on, as part of the first phase of the training process, about the work they will have to do in the organization’s offices.
