The list of the richest people on the planet - and the richest in each country in particular - is surely the most popular of the lists that Forbes produces every year. But the magazine also publishes the names of the 75 most attractive companies to work in Spain every year. They have the most satisfied employees, according to a survey carried out with the help of Sigma Dos among the employees of some companies with more than 250 employees.
The survey measures a number of employee satisfaction parameters, such as those related to compensation. For example, equal pay, internal promotion system, incentives and bonuses. It also takes into account the so-called emotional wage. This means non-salary benefits and enhancements, such as work-life balance measures, telecommuting, motivation or recognition.
Third, the survey authors ask employees about aspects related to corporate culture: the relationship with immediate superiors and colleagues, the presence of a corporate social responsibility program or environmental commitment. Finally, a global assessment of all these indicators is made.
There is no ranking from best to worst, instead these companies are listed in alphabetical order. This year there are only two Basques among those selected. One of them is also a multinational based in a city of the autonomous community. These are Ibermática and PepsiCo.
Ibermática
Forbes has included this company from Gipuzkoa that offers technological services to administrations and companies in its list. It has just over 4,000 employees and among its actions, the publication highlights the "volunteer plan to promote technological careers, especially for girls".
Alberto Meynial, the company's People Director, emphasized that "in a sector as disruptive and changing as ours, we place importance on having the most innovative talent" to deal with "cyber security projects, AI (Artificial Intelligence) or quantum computing". According to him, the organization "must nurture and develop talent, encourage individual and group growth".
Ibermática will celebrate half a century of its life next year and operates in ten countries around the world. Its mission, as stated on the website, is to "promote a dynamic and responsible organization with the highest quality technological services."
It also aims to be "consistently recognized as a great organization to work for", capable of providing the world with "inspiring and creative solutions that are useful and awesome".
Recently, the Sevillian multinational Ayesa has bought ProA Capital (which had 65% of the company), Kutxabank and ONCE. It has lost its local shareholders, although for the time being it will keep its headquarters in the Basque Country. The operation is in the hands of the competent authorities. It is intended to reinforce the leading digital services team to support major clients in their major digital transformation projects. Ayesa and Ibermática have a combined turnover of 600 million euros, with over 11,000 employees.
