Sophia is a human-like robot. Founded in Hong Kong by Hanson Robotics. It has been designed and adapted to human behavior, as well as to work with humans. It has also been interviewed all over the world. In October 2017, it became a Saudi Arabian citizen, and has therefore become the first robot in a country's citizenship.
In his words, he was activated on April 19, 2015. Audrey Hepburn is inspired by the actress and is known for her human appearance and behavior, compared to other robotic variants.
Its skin is made with a special silicone that imitates more than 60 human gestures and expressions, which are recognized and analyzed by human-like robot-eye cameras.
According to his author, David Hanson, Sophia has artificial intelligence, visual data processing and facial knowledge. Sophia also imitates human gestures and face expressions and is able to respond to specific questions and keep up-to-date conversations in predefined topics such as climate.
For what
Robot uses the voice recognition technology of the company Alphabet Inc (Google's subsidiary) and has been designed with learning capabilities. Sopima's intelligence software is designed by SingularityNET. Its AA software analyzes interviews and extracts data to improve its responses over time. Conceptually, ELIZA is similar to the computer program, which was one of the first efforts to simulate a human conversation.
Hanson was designed to be a good friend for people of old age, or in crowd-assisted parks or events. Hopefully it is finally able to interact with other humans in order to achieve social skills.
Interviewed
Sophia has been interviewed as a man, maintaining a conversation with a speaker. There have been some answers but others have been terrifying, for example, long conversations with Charlie Roser in the "60 Minutes" session. In a piece of the CNBC, when the interviewer questioned the behavior of a robot, Sophia joked that the interviewer "was reading Elon Musk too much and watching Hollywood movies". Elon Musk tweeted Sophia as she could see "The Godfather" and suggested "what's the worst possible one?"
Similarly, on October 11, 2017, Sophia was presented to the United Nations with an interview with Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary General. On the other hand, on October 25, at the Riyadh's Future Investment Initiative (Future Invest-ment Initiative), Saudi Arabian citizenship was granted, making it the first of its kind in a nationality.
This was a controversy amongst those who were aware of it, and some asking what this meant was that Sophia could vote or marry, or an involuntary decommissioning could be considered as a murder. Human-media users used Sophi's citizenship to criticize the record of human rights in Saudi Arabia.
