The Naiz Fit project promoted by Borja Cembrero and Sara Lopez has won the second prize at the 8th edition of the Yuzz competition in Santander. This program aims to give impetus to innovative business ideas promoted by young people between the ages of 18 and 31, providing a support process and organizing a competition. After the appointment of the best Yuzz Donostia center, Basque Startup has won one of the three national awards.
The purpose of Naiz Fit is to solve one of the most common problems we are buying in online fashion, since it is difficult to know the size of each brand and clothing. I'm Fit, which gives us precise measurements of each body, using photos taken with the mobile and using computational vision algorithms. From this point of view, the application compares this information with different brands databases, thus achieving a measure that best suits the user.
This system can be used in two ways: from the mobile application Naiz Fit (commercialized this August) or from online sales platforms. In the first case, the user must download the application and measure their body to receive more than 88,000 products and more than 600 clothing brands.
In the second case, Naiz Fit's team is currently conducting tests to integrate its system into different platforms, and it is already underway in several online brands in the Basque brand: Why, Amarenak and Wime. "In August we launched the Naiz Fit application, validated in a technical field, without much noise. Now, we are capturing users and brands, "explains Borja Cembrero," we are hopeful, because we see a need for buyers and sellers ".
The result of a buyers problem
More and more clothes are bought online, but buyers have a problem, because they do not know what clothes they have for each car. The buyer needs to go back to buy, and the shopping experience becomes bad, "says Cembrer. "We were created from the needs of users and brands." The application uses computational vision algorithms using a body capture picture.
"At the moment we have 6,000 references, but we want to have more than 50,000 pieces that sell all the brands that collaborate with us," said Borja Cembrero. The service will be used to purchase online web page button; If you activate it, it will mark the most appropriate carving articles each. It is intended to be completely free for purchasers and brands to pay a percentage for each sale made using Naiz Fit.
Thrust required
Santander Yuzz has given a boost to the company Naiz Fit. In fact, they will travel to Silicon Valley for a finalist and will pile 20,000 euros for winning a National Prize. "We have learned about young people from all over Spain looking at amazing projects, and being able to get in touch with them is priceless," explains Borja Cembrero. "Furthermore, the second stop at the state level has given us great impetus, because we have seen our ideas have meaning and people have faith in this project ".
The entrepreneurs from the ages of 18 to 31 who want to participate in the next edition of the Santander Yuzz competition (coming from next year) will be open for registration. The ideas can be submitted until December 8.
