Mondragon Team Academy has issued a call to create solutions for coronavirus
A number of organizations promoting social innovation, including the Mondragon Team Academy (LEINN degree), have come together to launch Creating for Humanity and seek a massive mobilization of young people to find effective and rapid solutions to the coronavirus crisis.
In addition to MTA-LEIN, Danone, Fundación Telefónica, Ashoka, Bridge for Billions, Ship2B, MONDRAGON, La Bolsa Social, the 'La Caixa' Foundation and IrsiCaixa have joined in this initiative. Its aim is to find new alternatives to deal with the effects of the pandemic through innovative solutions based on teamwork and networking.
The Creating for Humanity platform brings together three types of active calls to help young innovators: Ideas, Solutions, Start-Up. Common motto? #YouthInCharge. Because it is time to lead young people as a group to address the solutions that society needs.
Action ideas (#IdeasForHumanity)
Aimed at innovators aged 9-18, it aims to centralize the proposals of groups of students, schools or families working together to meet the challenges of their environment.
This group includes calls promoted by Ashoka and Danone (Feeding the Change), Ashoka and Fundación Telefónica (STEAM Challenge and Radical Curiosity. Fuller Educational Challenge) and Fundación La Caixa Funda Educaixa and IrsiCaixa (Health Lab-Coronavirus Community LAB).
Solutions (#SolutionsForHumanity)
Call for projects initiated by social innovators of legal age, despite being in the pilot phase.
Here is an example of the Covida application created by MTA-LEINN social entrepreneurs. It connects volunteers who are willing to help with shopping and the needs of people who are alone. In fact, they will be provided with the food, medicine or other materials they need in solitary confinement.
This section contains the calls led by Bridge for Billions (The Leap) and the ‘La Caixa’ Foundation through LivingC de Salud (Coronavirus Community LAB) through EduCaixa and IrsiCaixa.
Start-Up (# Start-upsForHumanity)
Calls for start-ups or small social enterprises that have the potential to grow and multiply the positive effects of their work in the fight against COVID-19.
Ship2B’s two (Tech4Health, Tech4Social and DKV Impacta) calls can be found here.
All the information is available at www.creatingforhumanity.org where families, schools, young entrepreneurs and start-ups can join this “open call” for the benefit of human beings.
