Almost a thousand young people from the region had the opportunity to discover the offer of Vocational Education and employment throughout the Urola Coast. Come! at the fair called Zarautz. It was carried out for the first time, and participants included Oteitza Polytechnic High School, Ayala Culinary School and Monte Albertia.
Come on! Vocational Education and Employment Fair were held in Zarauzko Munoa square. The Urola Coast and Urola Erdiko Vocational Education schools, development agencies and the Basque Employment Service jointly organized the initiative, which aimed to "promote the creation, attraction and retention of talent".
The fair opened its doors at 10:00 a.m., and until 6:00 p.m. those who attended had the opportunity to discover the Urola Costa and Urola Intermediate Vocational Education and employment offers.
For this purpose, nine stands have been set up together with the offer of vocational training, they showed the employment training offer of the schools and the employment resources of the development agencies and the profession. The fair was well received, and from early in the morning the secondary and high school students of Urola Erdi and Urola Costa came to the tent. Thus, around 950 students had the opportunity to get to know the region's schools up close.
One of them is Alex Martinez; In the words of the azpeitiar, the fair was "useful". In fact, he arrived in Zarautz with several doubts about Mechatronics, and the appointment served to "clarify" them all. He also received recommendations: "Choosing a dual model."
On the other hand, Nerea Odriozola from Hernan (Gipuzkoa) was giving massages at the fair itself. She is currently studying Aesthetics and Wellness at Monte Albertia. Organizing the fair seemed "very good" to him. He spoke from his experience: "When I finished secondary school, I didn't know what I wanted to study, and a fair like this is very good to clarify things."
In the same vein, the first "positive" assessment was made by Edu Sudupe Izarraitz, director of Vocational Education. "The students have shown interest, and that was the goal; we are very pleased." However, looking ahead to next year, they saw "what's improved".
