BBF Fintech: entrepreneurship in finance
The University of Mondragon, the Provincial Council of Biscay (through BEAZ) and the City of Bilbao (through the Bilbao Ekintza municipal association), together with Dominion and Absidé, are promoting an innovation ecosystem initiative. BBF Fintech. In this way, a joint creation bar will be created to promote new business realities created by entrepreneurs, startups and established companies.
BBF Fintech is an incubator accelerator located in the Bilbao Innovation Factor, which is located in Bilbao as a reference site in Fintech. In the Fintech sector, technology is applied to improve financial performance. In this way, new models of applications, processes or businesses are created in the financial services industry and are made available to the public in new digital ways. It is a commitment to promote the city as a benchmark in the promotion of finance, taking advantage of new opportunities opened up by new technologies in what will become a strategic growth sector in the coming years.
The Bilbao Innovation Factor, as a benchmark of the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem of Bilbao, brings together university education (LEINN Degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation, Business Data Analytics and MyGade) with a community of people with innovative business initiatives, creating the necessary conditions for learning, creation and collaboration in a natural way.

BBF Factory
The Bilbao Innovation Factory (BBF) is a pioneering project related to learning, innovation and entrepreneurship, located in Bilbao and promoted and managed by Mondragon University and Grupo init, in collaboration with the City of Bilbao.
It encompasses the community of people who promote university training and innovative business initiatives in the same and integral sphere.
7 keys to BBF
Here's an understanding of the 7 key BBF project:
-Supporters: Mondragon Unibertsitatea and Group init promoted and managed in collaboration with the City of Bilbao.
-Definition: BBF is a site related to learning, innovation and entrepreneurship.
-Model: It has three levels: an advanced innovation and entrepreneurship center, a university and a hub for innovative companies.
-Integration: The three levels form an integrated system and have common goals, strategies and actions.
- Innovation: Strategic cooperation model (Mondragon University + Group init), which has no resemblance anywhere else.
-Community: 11 innovative companies; 30 projects promoted by more than 50 entrepreneurs, in the process of becoming a company; and 150 university students, completing their training. There are more than 300 people in the community.
-Open project: Open to society, and especially to the business community. In the same place, it offers services and products to meet the needs of university training, innovation and entrepreneurship.
