B Global Talent, collecting external talent (I)

The initiative promoted by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and developed by the Mondragon Team Academy-Mondragon University aims to attract and develop talent, both locally and in the State, from companies committed to innovation.

International talent met in Bizkaia on Friday, February 24, under the auspices of the B Global Talent initiative. Encouraged by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and developed by the Mondragon Team Academy-Mondragon University, the initiative has been developed to attract talent and promote development in the territory. The program aims to promote open innovation together with companies. Thus, it has brought together more than 50 participants from 12 countries, and they have worked to respond to the challenges presented by the companies Eroski, Datua, Kutxabank, Ibermática, LABORAL Kutxa and Orbea. Various areas of innovation have been proposed by companies: sustainability, artificial intelligence, energy efficiency, optimization of organizational processes and user experience.

B Global Talent is being held at the B Accelerator Tower site - in the BAT building of the Bizkaia tower. This entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem includes a wide community of technology startups, companies, investors and partners. On Thursday, February 9, the first part of the initiative started, with a 36-hour hackathon. In the next two weeks, an acceleration and training program and workshops were held to give innovative solutions project form. After that program, the groups have continued to deal with innovative projects from the participating companies.

Diego Goikoetxea, an entrepreneur from Mondragon University's LEINN (Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation) degree, is the coordinator of the project. According to him, "it has been an enriching and dense experience, and it has led to a lot of learning, in addition to creating a new international community of entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs".
