The Minister of Employment and Social Policy of the Basque Government, Beatriz Artolazabal, on February 19 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, emphasized: "Some vocational training centers have some 75% job placement rates in 2017, after completing training and six months." . Minister Artolazabal cited actions related to care for people with addiction; their average insertion rate in the labor market in 2018 was 74.8%.
Borja Belandia, together with the Director General of Lanbide and Juan Ibarretxe, Director of Training at the Public Institution, presented the results of the training for employment in the last year. Beatriz Artolazabal said: after participating in one ”.
Part of the training that is funded and managed by the profession is to provide basic tools to people who find it difficult to enter the job market due to various situations. They are most likely to be in marginalized situations.
According to Beatriz Artolazabal, "for all these people, the training offered by Lanbid is an essential tool to increase their chances of getting paid work".
The Minister of Employment and Social Policy once again said: “We must continue to work to strengthen the most basic lines of vocational training for employment; for they place the poorest people at the gates of exclusion. ”
Employment training is structured into five levels of training in the Autonomous Community, ranging from the most basic level -0 to the innovation level -4. level; In addition, there are 3 intermediate levels set by the state training levels.
In 2017, around 5,000 people completed training activities at levels 0 and 1 (1,844 people at level 0, and 3,045 people at level 1). Even though they are the lowest in the job training system, according to Artolazabal, “they are of great value to those who check them out; in the future, it opens the door to obtaining a professional certification. ”
"The training that the unemployed receive is not only to get into the world of work, but also to face the new realities of our environment," said Artolazabal.
Recruitment
Most of the internships were due to pre-professional certifications; This title is official and valid throughout the state; by which people are proven to have the professional skills to perform a particular work activity. Certificates also form a training track to enhance training and subsequent professional development.
During the analyzed period, 7,834 recruits were completed, after completing the training courses promoted by the Basque Employment Service, every six months. 78.6% (6,393 contracts) corresponded to levels 2, 3 and 4 of the Basque vocational training system, which, from the procurement point of view, were the most successful. The employment rate for the most demanded specialties was similar across the three provinces.
Level 2 has the best training-employment relationship; on the one hand, due to the high level of employment with activities related to the Dependency Act (74.8%); This, on the other hand, implies that the students taking part in the Professional courses are one of the most demanded professional fields. In 2017, 1,540 people completed the two aspects of the "Social Care" training law: social organizations and households.
In addition to the above, the specialties such as "Machining with chip removal", "Maintenance and assembly of industrial equipment" and "cooking" have over 70% employment rates and an acceptable enrollment demand.
At Level 3, within the cross-sectoral branch of Business Administration and Management - which creates employment for other sectors - the courses "Accounting and Administrative Management" had 62.8% job placement levels.
High levels of Employment Training provide the ability to develop technical work autonomously and coordinate workgroups, ”said Artolazabal.
Youngs
Young people (between the ages of 25 and 34) and, in particular, young people between the ages of 25 and 29 have generally taken advantage of the fact that most certificates of professionalism have been established as a means of obtaining employment. Sixty-one out of ten people in this age group were able to complete the course and enter the job market for the next 180 days, 56.2%.
"However, in some areas of employment, age is not a limitation when it comes to employment," said Artolazabal. This is the case, for example, in “Social care in social organizations”; There, the difference between the rates of employment for people aged 35 and 55 is only a few tenths (about 75% in both cases).
Similar is the case with "Cleaning of surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises" (60%) and "Occupational education and training", although student participation is slightly lower.
