Approved the plan to guide the Basque university system

The spokesperson for the Minister of Public Administration and Self-Government, Josu Erkoreka, made an appearance on March 12 at a regular press conference with the Minister of Education, Cristina Uriarte and the Minister for Economic Development and Infrastructure, Arantxa Tapia.
 
The Minister of Education, Cristina Uriarte, reported that the Governing Council has approved the 2019-2022 University System Plan, which aims to establish a unified strategy and goals for all universities. In this way, he explained, the Basque Government has established a focus of strategic actions, the most unified action for the 3 university units that make up the Basque university system, each of which goes beyond being able to develop their actions independently. "In practice, the strategic plans of each university will be largely defined by the strategic lines of work defined by the Basque Government," he explained.
 
According to the Minister of Education, this is a big and bold plan that has been very well received by universities. "I hope it will help improve our entire university system," he added.
 
According to Cristina Uriarte, the Department of Education and the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council have agreed a protocol of intent to develop a partnership for educational coexistence and equity.
 
Annual Regulatory Plan
According to Josu Erkoreka, spokesman for the Minister of Public Administration and Government, the Governing Council has approved the update of the "Annual Regulatory Plan for 2019". Thus, Erkoreka explained that this plan includes the draft laws and decrees that the Government will elaborate, approve and pass this year to the Parliament; A total of 145 rules: 19 laws and 126 decrees. Among them, the Minister highlighted a future law, which will update and expand the content of these current laws: "The Law on Equality for Women and Men"; New "Law on Sustainable Mobility", and "Laws on Youth" and "Care and Protection of Children and Adolescents".
 
A government spokesman announced that the government will invest $ 15 million in “Financing for Free Justice in 2019. According to Minister Erkoreka, this investment will ensure that people in a special situation of vulnerability have free access to the Basque Justice Administration. In other words, it will enable all incarcerated, detained or incarcerated persons to receive care when they have no financial resources or are of special protection: violence, domestic violence, victims of terrorism, minors, foreigners, people with mental disabilities or victims of abuse. ..
 
Strategic Grant Plan
As reported by Minister of Economic Development and Infrastructure Arantxa Tapia, the Governing Council has approved the Strategic Subsidies Plan for the Department of Economic Development and Infrastructure for 2019. Tapia explained that the Basque Government will allocate 435.9 million to improve the competitiveness of Basque companies, as well as the entire productive economy of the Basque Country. The Minister explained that the Strategic Grant Plan will be launched with 81 lines of action and over € 384 million. In addition, public subsidiaries, SPRI and EVE, supplement subsidies with an additional 51.9 M to enhance industry competitiveness, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
 
In addition, at the press conference, the ministers answered several questions. These include, among others, those relating to Covenant Education, the International Day of Victims of Terrorism, questions about Venezuela, transfers and the statement made by the President about the case.
