An entrepreneurial environment joined

On Wednesday, June 20, the CITA Emprende initiative was held at Tabakalera in San Sebastián. During a whole day, all the agents of the entrepreneurial environment were able to unite and interact with each other. In fact, there were founders and small and medium-sized businesses with investors. Thus, talks, round tables, interviews and feedback, among others, were held in Tabakalera. In total, some 300 people attended the ceremony.

The CITA Emprende was divided into three areas. First, at the Film Room, lectures and talks were held by leading companies, where the public had the chance to participate with their questions. A meeting was held jointly with the Author Groups, Hispavistas and AVS, under the title 'Intra-Entrepreneurial DNA'.

José Torres Alonso, the Managing Partner and Investor at Kereon, moderated this talk, where each participant, Eduardo Junkera Egilea and President of CIDETEC, Miguel Ángel Carrera, AVS funder and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and Miren Elósegui HispaVista Digital Makers- The managers of the Business Unit of the University explained their experiences in the world of entrepreneurship. For example, Eduardo Junkera stated that human factors sometimes involve difficulties in managing entrepreneurship. In fact, there are cases where people place their interests on the project's interests. That's why, in his words, "sometimes, the entrepreneur's profile does not match the project." For this reason, Junkera said that "humility" is very important in entrepreneurship. "It has happened that it is necessary to stop a project in the hands of a certain person", confessed Junkera.

In this regard, Miren Elósegui showed his experience in HispaVista. He told Elósegui that he had to wait three years to set up a new company to find an entrepreneur. In fact, "we prefer not to be a parachute". "If someone knows he works with a parachute, he knows that if he goes wrong he will be placed in another job, which has sometimes been the cause of our failure," he explained. "If he does not work without a cigar, one leaves everything he can in the project," said Elósegui.

Other actions
Another area of the CIA Entreprise was the Zeta Hall, where after a few talks, there were meetings between already-existing entrepreneurs and investors, both in groups and in conversations between both.

On the other hand, at the Cultural Club Room BIC Start Up! Day initiative was held. This was the first edition of this innovative initiative, not the last one, as stated by the organization. Here, 10 outsourced representatives representing three areas in front of the public presented their projects for 3 minutes. Afterwards, some experts gave their opinions about projects and presentations heard. The startups of the Industry 4.0, Energy and Bio-Health sectors participated in this action for 10 startup areas.

The purpose of this initiative was triple: on the one hand, put the value of BIC and starkup in the work and to make it visible; On the other hand, startups would be able to receive valuable feedback from agents-agents (accelerators, investment funds ...); and end up having a good excuse to join these many profiles so you can get a lot of interesting things.
