The Redmi A range is undoubtedly one of the cheapest on the market, with price as its main attraction. And those models are usually sold for around 100 euros; therefore, they are undoubtedly very tempting for any consumer, and even more so considering that they offer everything we can expect from a smartphone. Now it seems that Xiaomi has opted for that range again, and is about to release a new model. This has been seen in a brief leak, which makes it clear that it is close to reaching the market.
What is the mobile phone?
We are talking about a phone that will be a variant of a Xiaomi debut, the Redmi A3. Specifically, the source found the information thanks to other internal sources, who were able to detect it in a text, with the name Redmi A3x. And also the two models it will have, 24048RN6CG and 24048RN6CI; so it is expected to have two variants of RAM and internal storage.
According to Gizmochina, these models reveal some information about the launch of this model at the time. Specifically, it is planned to launch this April, which we have just started, that is what the model says, where the numbers 24 and 04 are one after the other, referring to the year and month they will be launched. On the other hand, the letters G and I, according to the source, tell us that they will be launched in the Indian and Global markets, which means that we can expect the Redmi A3x to be launched in Spain at some point.
What can we expect from him?
Well, it is completely unknown as nothing has been leaked about the hardware or technical specifications it will have. But it is expected to be a smartphone with a very similar base to the Redmi A3, with some specific changes. It may be the same mobile phone with a different processor. It wouldn't be out of the question to jump to a G99 or similar entry-level Snapdragon instead of the Helio G36 it has now.
Also, it would not be unusual to bring some improvement to its camera, with a slightly larger main sensor, leaving behind 8 megapixels and jumping to 13 megapixels. Both aspects are definitely in need of an upgrade, as the rest of the department has little to offer at this price point. We are talking about a large mobile phone with a 6.71-inch screen, as well as a large 5000 mAh battery and dual-band Wi-Fi.
Xiaomi Redmi A3
On the other hand, Xiaomi announced its budget smartphone in February, the Xiaomi Redmi A3. The terminal follows the Redmi A line of Redmi A2, which is based on Android Go instead of MIUI or HyperOS.
The Xiaomi Redmi A3 is therefore a pure Android, almost unchanged Xiaomi mobile with rather modest specifications and a price to match, but with an attractive design.
Xiaomi Redmi A3: technical sheet
Xiaomi, but without MIUI or HyperOS
Xiaomi's Android One experiment ended with the Xiaomi A3 (at least for now), but the Android Go experiment continues for another year with the launch of the new Xiaomi Redmi A3 with Android 14 Go Edition. As such, they have an operating system closer to stock Android, although they still include some internal apps, such as the Phone app.
Xiaomi Redmi A3 is cheap; therefore, the specifications are limited. On the front, it has a 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. At the top of it is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera in a teardrop-shaped notch.
At the back, the Redmi A3 has a leather-textured finish and a huge, circular camera module with an 8-megapixel main lens and another secondary lens with unknown features.
The Xiaomi Redmi A3 mounts a MediaTek Helio G36 with a choice of 3, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of paired storage, in addition to being able to use a MicroSD up to 1 TB.
As for the battery, the Redmi A3 has a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging and includes a charger in the box. A remarkable fact is that the terminal has a fingerprint reader on the power button.
