Xiaomi has launched an ultra-fast 1TB SSD (I)

The Asian company Xiaomi has launched an interesting solid state storage unit that offers everything we need to be able to read and copy content at full speed. In addition to ensuring stable playback of high-resolution content.

The internal storage of our computers has changed completely in recent years. Although optical hard drives have been with us for decades, solid state storage drives, known as SSDs, have become the primary choice for most manufacturers and users. The main advantage of these devices is the transfer speed, apart from many other factors. And now Xiaomi has launched its own alternative, with a large storage capacity, and above all, highlighting the speed of writing and reading, the best we can find on the market today.

Such is the new Xiaomi Mobile SSD 1TB

As mentioned, if SSDs stand out for their transfer speed, in this case it does much more, precisely because this unit boasts a high data transfer speed, up to 10 times faster than a hard drive. It can offer up to 200 megabytes per second for both reading and writing, which is something impressive and opens up a lot of possibilities when it comes to playing content. The faster the reading rate, the more and better content you can play without clipping or skipping.

For example, with this SSD memory it will be much easier to be able to play the content in 4K, always keeping the same playback quality, without dropping frames or cutting at the end. In fact, it's so fast that we can rip an entire 4K movie to this drive in a minute. Of course, its size is very compact, as this type of device usually is, and in short, it is perfect for use on any computer, desktop or laptop. It is compatible with computers running Windows 7 or later, MacOS X 10.6, Android 9 or Linux. Therefore, it is a unit that is compatible with most computers that we can find on the market.

It is a metal SSD with a polished finish that contributes to a great design that can be on our desk instead of inside the computer, Xiaomi has taken care of the finish of this device to this extent. An SSD that has been launched in China at the moment, as usual, where it has a price of around 89 euros to change during its crowdfunding campaign, and around 109 euros outside of this promotion period. Without a doubt, a product that will guarantee us a much smoother performance of the operating system, which we will notice especially at the beginning, completing this process in a few minutes. Also, let's remember that SSDs are completely silent, unlike the vibrations that traditional hard drives have always given us.
