The Basque startup Vision 360 develops and markets advanced solutions aimed at smart and connected manufacturing.
The company Vixion 360 has developed an innovative technology that allows industrial machines to be connected and have a complete ecosystem of applications designed to improve the efficiency of production processes in the plant.
Information published by Grupo Spri, the Basque Business Development Agency, highlights the degree of efficiency achieved by the Vixion 360 system, which has led to the fact that there are currently more than 150 industrial machines around the world connected thanks to the software platform created by the startup. Added to this 'hyperconnectivity' are 15,000 signals and variables in permanent transmission and 500 GB in continuous analysis.
Over the last 5 years, this deep tech startup, owned by Tecnalia, has developed and marketed advanced solutions aimed at promoting intelligent and connected manufacturing of machines. A research effort that has resulted in a platform that allows any machine to become 'intelligent'.
Regarding the multiple benefits that Vixion Connected Factory offers, it is worth highlighting that it allows “greater transparency in the operation of the machine, while “optimizing processes and supporting fault resolution and remote assistance.” , they emphasize from Vixion. Added to these features is better traceability and total quality of the designed part, as well as the generation of personalized reports for each machine and the possibility of having a precise system for receiving alerts.
The platform designed by the firm works in three steps: Capture, installing the Vixion Edge device on the machine to capture the most relevant signals; Analyze, collect data and examine in a continuous and scalable way thanks to the Vixion Cloud; and, thirdly, Optimizes, making it possible to view the automatically generated information from any device and location.
Vision 360 has also devised an ecosystem of applications that offers “a quick and profitable response to the real needs of factories,” Vixion points out. In this sense, the startup explains that the applications "provide practical solutions for the daily issues of a company's machines."
Thus, for example, the 'Now' application visualizes the machine park in real time and identifies which machines are in an emergency state or have faults, all remotely. In addition, it offers the possibility of detecting working conditions, possible 'overrides', as well as speed and workload. “You can get a unified view of the fleet from any device and location, you just need to have an internet connection.” Along with this application, the ecosystem includes software specialized in analytics (Analytics) and another machine manager (Manager), among others.
In its five years of experience, the startup already has numerous clients, both machine manufacturers and productive factories, its potential market being the machining sector. It also serves sectors such as aeronautics and space, as well as machine tools and robotics. “Our goal is to become leaders in the international market of connectivity solutions for industrial machines and production plants,” the company advances.
