One more year, the Basque students of FP who work entrepreneurial culture in their classrooms met this morning in Eibar, to participate in the eighth edition of the Ikasenpresa Fair. In the stands and tents located in Txaltxa-Zelai and Plaza Untzaga, about 2,000 students have shown throughout the morning the products or services they have developed in the classroom, within the Ikasenpresa program to promote enterprising culture This year, the number of Ikasenpresa projects that has been exhibited at the fair amounts to 376, all of them from 81 Vocational Training centers in Euskadi.
At the opening ceremony of the fair and subsequent visit to the stands of participating students, the Director of Technology and Advanced Learning of the Basque Government, Rikardo Lamadrid, the mayor of Eibar, Miguel de los Toyos, and the executive director of Tknika - Center for Research and Innovation Applied to Vocational Training, Iñaki Mujika.
The products or services developed by the students that have exhibited at the fair belong to areas or sectors as diverse as healthcare, computer science, energy, robotics, hospitality, hairdressing and aesthetics, chemistry, tourism, construction , or the agrarian sector, among others.
What is the Ikasenpresa Program?
Ikasenpresa is an educational program that develops around the creation of school businesses in the classrooms. This project has among its objectives to bring the world of business to the classroom, promoting the development of entrepreneurial skills (creativity, innovation, teamwork, decision making, information management, initiative, leadership, commitment, negotiation, etc.) , stimulate the approach to other cultures and social realities and promote cooperation between schools.
Program objectives:
- Create an Ikasenpresa, with which the students are aware of what it means to undertake and the steps they have to take to do it.
- Develop the skills of students to turn them into good professionals: employable, active people, entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs.
- Sensitize the students so that self-employment is one more option.
What is done?
The students start up a small company in which they carry out all the activities of the same, from the corporate image or the administration, to the marketing, buying and selling, etc. Your products or services are real, made or marketed by them.
