Among more than 1,280 companies from across Europe, the start-up Navarre Kunak Technologies has been one of the 64 companies selected by the European Commission to take advantage of the instrument Smes Phase 2, within Horizon 2020, for which you will receive 1.6 million euros of funding for developing products and solutions of capture and monitoring of environmental data, such as air quality urban noise or emissions.
The young company has passed the evaluation of four European experts in the convening of march and the coordinators Miguel Escribano and Javier Fernández defended their project in the classroom in Brussels before a committee of evaluators and investors.
Environmental information of high precision and connection of infrastructures
The solutions to this emerging business dedicated to environmental monitoring and the telecontrol remote will develop with this funding will be an integral part of the project K-Smart Environment, which has a budget of 2.2 million euros. Works in capturing tools of environmental data of high precision and the connection of industrial infrastructure and energy networks in any part of the world.
Part of the grant will be destined to the I D I, to the improvement of its products and solutions to trade and standardize their processes, while another part will be destined to its communication, international distribution and to the search for partners in the exterior.
Created in 2013 by Javier Fernández and Francisco Javier Alonso, Kunak develops its activity in the nursery for Innovation of the public company European Business and Innovation Center of Navarra (INCS), and account from last year with the participation of start up capital of Navarre managed by Sodena and other partners in its shareholding.
