The first edition of the NavIA Lab S4 Artificial Intelligence Laboratory began in mid-October. It is an initiative promoted by the Department of Ecological and Digital Transition of Industry and Business, and aims to help companies in the Foral Community transform their processes by integrating advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, improving their competitiveness, efficiency and sustainability.
This training program lasts between 45 and 50 hours, extending the use of online sessions, practical training, companionship and implementation of AI solutions in specific business processes. The methodology applied is Learning by Doing, which establishes a real and concrete context based on learning through practice. Therefore, the nine Navarrese companies participating in this edition will receive personalized advice, access to the most advanced AI tools, practical training and mentoring, ensuring a team capable of effectively implementing solutions in their companies.
NavIA Lab S4 is aimed at promoting the adoption of AI solutions and the creation of content focused on specific company processes, such as advanced AI creative applications for chatbots; AI image generation with different tools for creative solutions; Advanced techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to interpret complex data; Personalized AI models, developed with platforms that allow AI to be designed and programmed for the specific tasks of each company; RPA (Robotic Process Automation) to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
The participating companies are: IED ELECTRONICS SOLUTIONS, S.L.; GURPEA INDUSTRIAL, S.L.U.; NUCAPS Nanotechnology, S.L.; Embega S.Coop; TAFALLA IRON FOUNDRY S.COOP; LEADERNET CORPORATION S.L.; SAYGOM AUTOMATION 2015,S.L.; BAJAMAR, S.A.; Nordex Acciona Windpower.
The NavIA Lab S4 2024 Artificial Intelligence Laboratory aims to promote the application of data science among Navarre companies and complement the training program launched in recent years by the General Directorate of Business Development. These initiatives, outlined in the Navarre S4 Intelligent Specialization Strategy, are part of the roadmap for industrial and technological transition, to take advantage of the opportunities that open up in the face of major challenges: ecological transition and digital transition.
On the one hand, there is the Data Capture Program, an initiative that introduces participants to fields such as data science, IoT or Big Data, acquiring the notions to start collecting data, so that in the future they can carry out projects that provide them with valuable information for their daily lives.
Another program, which has already completed its fifth edition, is the Data Science Laboratory, which teaches companies to extract value from real-time data and identify opportunities with data. Through the Learning by Doing methodology, participants are given methodological training to identify opportunities and questions that data can solve, and then apply them to their processes.
The three programs are coordinated and managed by NASERTIC, a public company of the Government of Navarre.
This initiative is intended for: Companies, preferably industrial, that want to incorporate advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tools into their processes to improve competitiveness, efficiency and sustainability, and that meet the following requirements.
Unlike previous programs focused on data science and advanced analysis, NavIA Lab S4 is aimed at adopting AI solutions focused on specific business processes and content creation, such as:
