The ‘ekinBarri 2024’ Bizkaia

Under the slogan ‘Connecting the leadership of Bizkaia’, this initiative will hold its annual event at the Azkuna Zentroa on Thursday 14 November and will provide a renewed vision of business leadership, highlighting the importance of people within organisations.

Faced with an economic and social scenario full of instability and uncertainty, the annual ekinBarri event will seek in 2024 to present Bizkaia companies with real cases, experiences and knowledge to adapt, find opportunities and be part of a strong and resilient business fabric. Under the slogan ‘Connecting the leadership of Bizkaia’, it will hold its annual event at the Azkuna Zentroa on November 14 from 12:00 to 14:00 with the aim of offering attendees tools to address these challenges effectively with one key: giving more importance to the people who make up the organizations.

The ekinBarri initiative, promoted by CEBEK, FVEM, CECOBI, ASCOBI-BIEBA and AVEQ-Kimika with the support of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, promotes the development and consolidation of a new style of company that places people at the center. It offers proposals and tools adapted to new realities, by facilitating higher levels of competitiveness for companies and better levels of professional and personal development for the people who make them up. In this way, the economic and business development of Bizkaia is favored.

Its annual event will feature two top-level profiles who will provide this renewed vision of business leadership. Among them are the manager of BC3 – Basque Centre for Climate Change and vice-president of Athletic Club, Nerea Ortiz Olarra. Ortiz will offer her perspective on leadership and sustainability in international teams. On the other hand, the sociologist and expert in HR, currently in Talent Incorporation at Telefónica Spain and TEDXspeaker, Sergio de la Calle, will talk about how to lead in complex times with a human and close approach.

EkinBarri 2024 will highlight how leadership based on trust, communication and the well-being of employees can transform business performance. It also seeks to highlight the importance of companies that are leading this change and offer solutions that allow other organizations to face the future with guarantees. To do so, the event will feature first-hand success stories from Biscayan companies such as Aceros Inoxidables Olarra, Agaleus, Think on Marketing and Radio Rhin. All of them have implemented the ekinBarri methodology and improved their results thanks to the application of ekinBarriTECH, an innovative technological tool that allows progress to be measured in real time.

In terms of technology, the event will also serve to present one of the major new features of this edition: NaIA, an artificial intelligence designed to act as a personalized manager available 24/7. This innovative tool will allow companies to receive advice, guidance and continuous support in the development and deployment of the ekinBarri methodology. In addition to optimizing processes and improving decision-making, it facilitates the implementation of effective strategies, and offers a unique and personalized experience that reinforces ekinBarri's commitment to technological avant-garde and innovation in business leadership.
