Carlos Gimeno Gurpegui, Councilor of Education, and Ramón Gonzalo García, Rector of the Public University of Navarre, presided over the diploma awarding ceremony to verify the 2+3 Talent Plan.
The Provincial Community of Navarre, through the Department of Education and the Public University of Navarre (NUP), has been a pioneer in offering a program to students who are taking a specific cycle of higher education (and, if applicable, to be determined for each cycle of education and university degree an additional training) to have 60 ECTS credits recognized, equivalent to an associate degree course. Specifically, in this first edition, students of the advanced cycle of Administration and Finance, through the advanced modules of Commerce and Marketing (Marketing policies and the marketing of products and services), will be able to complete a university degree in Business Administration and Management or Labor Relations. and finished in three academic years. Students from public schools (CIP Donapea, CI Mª Ana Sanz, CIP Lizarra-Lizarra, CIP ETI Tutera, CIP Tafalla and CIP Elizondo) and chartered schools (Cuatro Viento CI and Carlos III Technical School) that provide higher education in Administration and Finance are included in the program .
As important as reducing the time for qualifications is the organization of the study plan of this program, which aims to continue from the beginning of Vocational Education to university studies. NUP has made efforts to organize the subjects and the calendar, so that students from VET can integrate with the other students who enter these university degrees and finish their studies in three years.
Thus, the talent plan is designed, on the one hand, to facilitate the transition to the labor market, especially strengthened by the effectiveness of VET, and, on the other hand, to improve the chances of a long-term professional career by obtaining a university degree.
This program involves moving forward in the application of Organic Law 3/2022 of March 31 on the Organization and Integration of Vocational Education. Among the principles of this law is the creation of training paths that will help students to optimize their study plan and expand their training opportunities. Also, these students can complete their training with the advanced cycle of Marketing and Advertising. These programs can be implemented through the commitment to VET in Europe, as they are financed through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Mechanism (MRR).
