Mask that changes color due to fever

A company in Alicante has created a thermal fabric to warn you when your body temperature is above 37.5 degrees. The advent of coronavirus has brought about many changes for everyone, from the practical disappearance of expressions of love such as hugs, kisses or handshakes to ending with a change in the most ingrained work or consumption habits.

Covid-19 has transformed everything and no one knows for how long. Perhaps the masks are the clearest metaphor for all this bad dream that Spain has been experiencing since March. They are certainly part of the lives of Spaniards (and almost the whole world) and have become an integral part of our everyday clothing, to such an extent that many fashion brands have included them in seasonal catalogs.

Change the color of the mask if you have a fever

EPI masks, surgical and hygienic, disposable or reusable, sports, approved ... The world of the mask is expanding as it becomes a product of daily consumption. Now it’s technology’s turn.
The textile printing company Colorprint Fashion, located in the town of Muro de Alcoy, has developed and patented a fabric that can be activated when the body temperature rises, as it changes color when it exceeds 37.5 degrees.
The innovative fabric has been approved by the Textile Institute of Technology (AITEX) for use in hygienic masks, and has ensured its durability and effectiveness against the prevention of Covid-19.

The tissues, which are usually green in color, are bleached at approximately 37.5 irag and the filtration rate of the bacteria is 98%. With this, reusable thermal masks have been manufactured, which allow them to be cleaned and disinfected without losing or affecting the properties of the textile.

The hygienic mask not only protects against the virus, but also warns of a rise in body temperature with a simple change in color. It can be very useful in controlling the spread of the disease in offices and transportation.
The new fabric of the Alicante company is also being used in other products. Thus, he has designed a bracelet, which can be a convenient system for real-time temperature control and can be very practical use, for example, for the little ones, back to the classrooms, they pointed out.

Among other formats, stickers have also been designed that allow direct contact with the skin, allowing people to perceive a rise in temperature or the arrival of people at a glance in public places.

Colorprint Fashion

Colorprint Fashion began its industrial activity in mid-1996. The goal of this company from the beginning has been to provide a finish in fabric printing according to the current requirements of the quality control market. The project promoters bring more than 45 years of experience in the stamping sector. In addition to experience, Colorprint Fashion has state-of-the-art machinery for printing, textile finishing and fabric dyeing. Human resources are one of the most important points of a business. This is how COLORPRINT understands it, which is why its 150 professionals, aware of their profession, make an effort to transmit their young dynamics in their task. The result is a high level of technical reliability, which can meet the demand for stamping, despite the high demand. COLORPRINT knows that customer success is its own success.
