The American company Kohler is known for manufacturing bathroom items and faucets. And this company has had news at CES 2021. Remember that the annual Consumer Electronics Show conference in Las Vegas is CES, and this year it was held online for the first time.
The company has unveiled a new smart bathtub this year; for example, it allows you to fill the container with an app or through your voice. If you want to completely relax, you can also change the color of the lights around the bathtub and add scents or create fog in your bathroom, in the style of a Norwegian spa, to make the water experience 100% relaxing.
You can also set pre-set routines for activating functions in a specific order. For example, having the bathtub filled to a certain level and temperature, and once that’s done, add a little mist or turn on aromatherapy, all with Amazon’s Alexa or Google Assistant voice command.
Stillness Bath is a highly technological bathtub, inspired by “Japanese forest or shinrin-yoku baths” with the goal of serving as a shelter from a world as stressful as we live.
Beware, the whim isn’t exactly cheap: if you want to install this luxury bathtub in your home, you’ll have to pay at least $ 8,698, which is about $ 7,150. We say “at least” because with this version you can “only” control the temperature and depth of the water. The ‘Tower of Experience’ model allows you to activate fog and aromatherapy and costs $ 10,998, roughly $ 9,045. And if you want the full experience, with overflow grilles and lights, the sum is $ 15,998, roughly $ 13,150.
Stillness Bath will be ready to start shipping in July, but Kohler has introduced a smart CES Innate bathtub in addition to the bathtub - with bidet function, automatic opening and closing, heated seat and remote control - and now in a new world without hypercontact, untouched sink faucet, hands so that the handle can be cleaned without touching it.
It’s hard to believe, but it’s been a year. No one imagined that the previous Consumer Electronics Show -CES- would be the only major technology event to take place in 2020, but it was. The health crisis has reduced the number of incidents to comply with the recommended safety measures, leaving only one way to organize in the network. Following this dynamic, CES 2021 was launched on 11 January, the first to be held virtually in history. Thus, they were able to enjoy through screen this famous meeting, talks and notes on traditional technology.
What news and technology will it show? For four days - through January 14 - brands like Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Philips, Make, Lenovo, Dell, ASUS, Sony, Intel, TCL or Audi showcased their most innovative products. On January 11, Hans Vestberg, President and CEO of Verizon, gave the opening speech at CES 2021. That was around 5G, as well as the impact that new networks will have on the world of medicine and education, among other sectors.
On the other hand, as an example, Samsung would be showcasing a range of Neo QLED, Micro LED and Lifestyle TVs at CES 2021, which it unveiled at a pre-technology event. The 2021 line adds new accessibility features such as motion, sign language zoom, and multi-output audio.
