What it is: EL DIARIO is an educational program sponsored by VASCO. It wants to help educational centers to promote an entrepreneurial spirit among young people, supported by ADEGI, BIC Gipuzkoa and the Department of Education of the Basque Government. UPV/EHU and Tknika collaborate. The mentoring companies are: Grupo Wisco, Irizar, KSB, Michelin Fundación, Sarralle, Unceta.
The program, which will last for five months, is in its eleventh edition, keeping intact the objectives of its creation: to help educational centers to promote an entrepreneurial spirit among young people and to help them develop the skills and abilities that will help them identify an idea and, through the Canvas model, turn it into a real project.
In the coming months, and under the tutelage of a teacher from their center, the participating students - mostly 16 and 17-year-old students - will form groups to work on their projects and put into practice some indirect skills, such as autonomy, creativity, initiative and reflection, among others. All these values, together with self-confidence or decision-making in dangerous environments, will help them face the challenges of the future when they enter the labor market.
