On March 5, the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) hosted a Forum dedicated to bilateral trade relations between Spain and China. The event was attended by numerous companies with relationships in both countries.
Presented by Marta Blanco, president of CEOE International, and by Inmaculada Riera, general director of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce; It was moderated by Alicia Valera, general director of International Trade and Investments at the Secretary of State. The event was attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Spain, Mr. Yao Jing.
One of the main presentations of the event addressed 'Opportunities in Future Sectors in China and Spain'. Oskar Goitia, president of Mondragón Internacional, participated in this panel; Chen Zhongyi, president of China Three Gorges Europe; Antonio Barbosa, CEO of GRI Renovables, and Zhang Wei, deputy general director of Xiaomi Iberia.
The 'Hispanic-Chinese Strategic Alliances' were very present at the meeting.
In this block, Mr. Yang Kaiyu, general director of ICBC Spain; Joaquín Caracuel, Santander Group VP; Liao Jun, president of CRCC International Investment; Wang Qiang, president of Cablescom, and Eduardo San Miguel, CEO of Técnicas Reunidas, commented on the strategies followed by their respective companies in the strategic alliance for work between both countries.
For his part, the Ambassador, during his speech, expressed his support for Spanish businessmen when opening a market in China, informing those present of the launch of an office in the Chinese embassy whose objective would be to help Spanish companies when establishing relationships in China.
Marcelo Muñoz, president emeritus of Cátedra China, and dean of Spanish businessmen in China, attended the event accompanied by a group of members of Cátedra China and ACCEDER, led by its executive vice president, Ramón Mª Calduch, and by its managing director, Marta Montoro, who were accompanied by Antonio Miguel Carmona, Vicente Pedrero, Laura González, and Javier Sánchez, all members of the Senior Faculty of Cátedra China and ACCEDER.
