Solarcycle, the company that harnesses the sun's energy to recharge electric bikes and scooters.
Founded eight months ago, it has just closed the first charging totem on the Camino de Santiago, one of the great routes for the use of electric bicycles that receives more than 30,000 cyclists every year.
Solarcycle manufactures and installs off-grid solar charging stations for electric bicycles and scooters, with the aim of helping organizations achieve their objectives of sustainability, transportation and welfare of employees and users.
The company supplies and installs a totem to facilitate the charging of two electric bicycles at the same time. It is a compact, resistant and customizable charging point, powered by solar panels that collect the energy of the sun and accumulate it in a battery to, through a conventional plug, recharge the electric bicycle. When feeding with sunlight it does not depend on the conventional electrical network.
Depending only on its solar panels, all the energy delivered by a Solarcycle totem comes from a 100% renewable source, both in terms of the environment and the fiscal effects of saving CO2. Therefore, the company itself provides a monthly report that accredits the energy provided and the savings in emissions that its use has assumed.
Currently, its clients include the first companies that are promoting sustainable mobility among their employees and also municipalities that encourage the use of electric bicycles on tourist routes. It is closing agreements with universities and technological and business parks that want to have a charging solution for their students, workers and visitors. The first hotels and rural houses that aspire to offer a personalized service to the more and more customers who arrive with their electric bicycles have also joined there.
Likewise, the company has just closed the first charging totem on the Camino de Santiago, one of the major routes for the use of electric bicycles that receives more than 30,000 cyclists every year.
The objective is to create a totem manufacturing line in the Basque Country. In addition, at the request of several clients, he is already working on the design of a special pergola with recyclable materials that will integrate the entire charging infrastructure for ebikes.
