The fair was held on October 19 at the Kursaal in San Sebastian. The 54 participating companies and organizations offered around 160 job opportunities and an international mobility program, with another 20 places. The conference will include talks and workshops to address the development of personal skills.

According to the Labor Market Report for August this year, the unemployment rate for young people under 30 was 14.8% in San Sebastián (16.1% in the AC of the Basque Country). "There are 1,161 young people under the age of 30 in San Sebastián, most of whom are women. One of our goals is to provide employment and professional development opportunities," said Garmendia.
The 1st Youth Talent Fair is part of the Weekinn Social Security and has the institutional support of San Sebastián City Council, through the Promotion Association and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. It offered a relationship between the city’s business and science network and skilled and skilled young people looking for a job opportunity or a change in their professional lists.
This first edition of the Talent Fair was attended by 54 leading companies (Ibermática, Wavegarden, Vivebiotech, Naru, Gureak, Tecnalia, CAF, CEIT, Irisbond, etc.) and several organizations that will offer 160 jobs in different areas of the city.
For future editions, people wishing to attend the Talent Fair must register in advance via the website www.fomentosansebastian.eus. Upon registration, they may indicate the job offers they are interested in in the list of proposed offers so that they can make an appointment with the offering organization. Once the calendar of interviews has been established, the meetings will take place at the stands of each company / organization in the Kursaal space.
In addition to the opportunity to get a job, interested young people can apply for the Connecting Talent international mobility program at Fomento de San Sebastián. This program offers 20 destinations in top organizations around the world, doing residencies and participating in projects that promote vocational training and development internationally, as well as in destinations chosen by the candidates themselves.
The day was completed with workshops and activities on personal skills during the day. Attendees also had a stand at Fomento de San Sebastián, which provided advice on how to focus their careers. The Talent Fair is aimed at young people with a diploma, bachelor’s or master’s degree or higher vocational education.
