Samsung updates the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 monitor

Samsung Electronics has announced three new monitors dedicated to the gaming field, including the updated Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD), which is equipped with a 49-inch ultra-widescreen curved panel and incorporates anti-glare technology and multi-device experience.

These new features include the new version of the Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD), a 49-inch curved ultra-widescreen gaming monitor that offers DQHD (5,120 X 1,440) resolution.

The Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) model, on the other hand, is presented as Samsung's first 32-inch flat OLED gaming monitor with 4K UHD resolution.

Finally, the smallest model is the Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD), a 27-inch QHD (2,560 x 1,440) flat-screen monitor with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

The South Korean company has also announced that these three monitors incorporate OLED Glare-Free technology, which minimizes light reflections. With it, you can play with uniform brightness and color, in almost any lighting environment.

On the other hand, they introduce VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, which means that the monitors can offer vivid colors and detailed graphics regardless of the game or content being displayed.

Likewise, the firm has clarified that these models are compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, to enjoy fluid HDR games and low latency; and that incorporate two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB hub and a DisplayPort 1.4 input.

The two most advanced models, Odyssey OLED G9 and Odyssey OLED G8, also support a feature called Multi Controll that provides connectivity between devices for an enhanced multi-device experience.

This feature allows users to transfer images and text between their monitor and other brand devices to improve workflow, using the keyboard and mouse.

These monitors also include support for the Samsung SmartThings Hub platform, which can connect multiple IoT devices compatible with Matter and the Home Connectivity Alliance (HCA) for management. And they have Samsung Smart TV and Samsung Gaming Hub, which provide access to streaming services without having to download them.
