What difficulties did you encounter in the beginning?
I haven't found any problems. Actually, when it came to filling out all the paperwork, I even mentioned it to my bank manager, I thought I'd have problems and I've been well received everywhere I've gone. Therefore, it exceeded my expectations.
What is the best and worst thing about entrepreneurship?
Best of all, you can work with your own schedules, make your own schedule...
And the worst part, like I said, is the marketing part. The rest is still too early to say. I'm just starting out and can't say much, but what's been blocking for me is the marketing part. I used to waste half the morning recording videos and didn't make appointments. Now I have hired a video editor.
I'm also doing a course on artificial intelligence to create scripts, to know keywords... It's not just about recording and putting it on the internet... you have to know what the keywords are so that someone can keep watching your videos. I had no idea and this is all new to me.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of starting a business, like you did?
Get to know the market well, analyze it well, learn everything you are going to do, and do it as quickly as possible, but by analyzing the market well.
Does a business need to be online to be successful?
Yes, now, yes. After COVD, we have changed completely. I thought not. I wanted to do marketing on the machine because that's what I've invested in, and people don't connect to machines, they connect to you.
I wanted to do marketing with the machine, not me. I didn't want to expose my life so much. At first, I took pictures and videos of the machine, hiding myself, but in the end, it's you. And that was my block. I am working to change that. I just wanted to show up once in a while, not put my picture on my profile. In the beginning, the profile picture was the machine, not me. I took a course with a Brazilian who is well-known in the field of marketing, who are much more advanced than here in terms of influencers etc., because we are just starting here. I'm also in an artificial intelligence course with Guillermo Lamarca, who told me at the beginning: "People connect with people; they don't connect with machines." Then I said to myself "you must raise your business because you have invested a lot".
What future projects do you have?
First, get this up and running, and once it's stable, I'm registering the brand and would like to expand to Portugal and a bit more to Spain. I would like to open centers in Portugal and Spain, in places where there are none, such as Vitoria-Gasteiz, Bilbao... If everything goes well, my plan is to continue growing.
I would hire people and take care of the machine, because you can't leave it to anyone. You have to be educated, and I would spend a week here and a week there, or I would hire people trained in that.
Do you think it's harder for women to get started?
I think women are very independent now. If we are not at 50% with men, we are at 40%. I'm from Brazil and I think we're in a pretty similar situation here now. Earlier women were supposed to be at home with their husbands and children, but now I don't even see them there. I think we have already changed that percentage.
How do you see the world of tattoos? Do you think that fashion is passing or do you see a great future for it?
People are getting more and more tattoos, but there are many people who want to get rid of what they did a long time ago, or back then tattooists were not as professional as they are now...
How would you encourage someone considering tattoo removal to come here?
Before going to a center, carefully familiarize yourself with the machine, the brand of the machine, the laser, the methods, ask as many questions as possible... so that you can go to a center, be it mine or another.
And to come here, let him know that I have the latest machine, the Ink Hunter Master Pro. If he knows that, he will come without me saying anything. On the other hand, in Lasarte-Oria, I am the only one dedicated to this, and there are very few around.
The price always depends on the type of tattoo, the number of sessions... Also, it must be seen if it is faded, not so strong and deep... It depends on the color, the black is easier to remove, the depth... everything depends on the tattoo.
