Onenpro develops custom software to digitalise internal processes

The Arrasate company celebrates its 15th anniversary at the end of the month, a journey dedicated to increasing the digitalisation of companies through software engineering projects and IT consulting processes.

With few resources and a lot of enthusiasm, a small team of professionals from the world of IT and web design created Onenpro in Arrasate in 2009, a project to help companies boost their digitalisation through software development. That same year they received an order from their first client, who continues to trust the company today. Now, specifically, at the end of September, the firm celebrates its 15th anniversary, strengthened and with very diverse projects behind it for companies such as Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Krean, KIRO Grifols or Hospital San Juan de Dios.

“We usually approach companies when they believe they have a specific software need that cannot be covered as they would like with what is on the market,” explains Mikel Hernando, one of the founders of Onenpro. Thus, depending on the case, the company customizes existing platforms to fit the client’s needs or creates a custom application from scratch. “Most of the time, the initial request is far from the final solution that is delivered to the client, since a very important part of our work is to analyze, advise and propose changes to the client’s initial request,” he emphasizes.

Among the client’s requests, the most recurrent one, according to Hernando, is “the creation of a program to manage some internal task of the company such as virtual secretaries, employee portals, application for taking tests, etc.”. This is the case of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, for example, which needed a new virtual secretary that would combine services for both students and those responsible for managing information.

In addition to software development, Onenpro also covers projects for website creation, IT consulting and mobile application development.
