The XV NUP Employment and Entrepreneurship meeting (I)

Navarre Lansareak (SNE-NL), an organization subordinate to the Department of Social Rights, organized by the Public University of Navarre (NUP) through its Foundation the XVth edition on Employment and Entrepreneurship. He participated in the meeting last October 26. As a supporter of the event, the participants were offered two attention points: one, general, on employment and job guidance, and the other, on EURES, the network of public services for working in Europe.

The meeting was held for the first time at the Navarra Arena, with the aim of improving employability and promoting entrepreneurship among students and graduates. The more than 1,000 people who registered were able to interact with more than 70 companies from the public and private sectors who supported them at their stands, and were able to participate in numerous activities, such as conferences, workshops, express interviews or a concert.

The following were present at the opening ceremony: the managing director of SNE-NL, Miriam Martón; Rector of the NUP, Ramón Gonzalo; Managing Director of the University-Social Foundation, Iosune Pascual; and Ingeteam's Director of People, Ana Isabel Eguillor.

Commitment to facilitate employment

Martón reiterated SNE-NL's commitment to support the relationship between companies and young people, so that they can find profiles adapted to their needs and new graduates can develop their professional projects. He also encouraged students and companies to use all the services offered by Emplegua, from guidance and specific training to various supports designed to facilitate the integration of this group into the labor market.

For his part, Rector Ramón Gonzalo highlighted the high rate of employability of NUP graduates, the first of the public universities in Spain to be employed in both undergraduate and master's studies, according to a report by the University Ministry.

The managing director of the NUP Foundation, Iosune Pascual, highlighted the value of this meeting place between companies and young talents, emphasizing the work done by the Foundation for twenty years in terms of employability and training. Finally, Ana Isabel Eguillor showed her joy for sponsoring this Meeting, a space for companies and university students that values ​​and promotes local university talent.

Interviews, hackathon and music

XV. of Employment and Entrepreneurship. The meeting was held this year at the Navarra Arena pavilion, from 09:00 to 14:30 and from 15:30 to 18:30. Attendance was free, although registration was required.

In addition to visiting the stands of different organizations, during the event the participants had the opportunity to have conversations with company recruiters, as well as to participate in various activities. Among the latter, there was a hackathon, in which they competed to develop ideas to improve mental health; motivational speech by paralympic medalist Teresa Perales; some workshops on creativity; and to end the day, there was a hackathon award ceremony, entertained by the urban music group Erel&Kuñi.

In the framework of the meeting, SNE-NL also collaborated with NUP in the previous days in the celebration of several practical orientation workshops: "A million: the keys to make your resume shine"; "The attitude is yours! Show that they are looking for your candidacy in the job interview"; and "Interview simulator: practice for success".
