The Novia Salcedo Foundation, with the support of the Basque Government's Department of Employment and Social Policies, has launched a program to promote youth recruitment and stimulate youth employment in the Basque Country, which has been particularly affected by pandemics and the economic crisis.
The aim is to create at least 200 paid and non-paid scholarships, as well as to provide more than 1,000 young graduates with more than 1,000 young graduates by the end of this academic year before the end of the year.
The requirements for young people to participate in the program are: university graduates, vocational training graduates or doctoral students, unemployed or wanting to improve their employment, and last year students who have not been able to do internships due to the COVID19 pandemic. -to the view that the crisis does not increase women's inequality.
The Novia Salcedo Foundation already has 90 formalized training projects, and another 33 are almost closed, more than half of SMEs and micro-entrepreneurs, and in the following professional areas, ordered by demand: circular economy, marketing and digital transformation, quality, industry 4.0, project management , international trade, logistics and energy efficiency.
The Novia Salcedo Foundation (NSF), a private non-profit organization (NSF Foundation), has been helping young people improve their employability and get decent work from a Human Development perspective for more than 40 years (Agenda 2030) in a global paradigm shift that does not guarantee employment.
Based on their commitment to creating shared knowledge, they believe that the challenge of providing decent employment for young people is an excellent driver for the economic and social transformation of individuals, organizations / companies and the world in general.
The United Nations has recognized its work for consultation at ECOSOC (before the Economic and Social Forum) and is a member of the United Nations Department of Global Communication.
The origins of this project lie in the identity of its founder, Txomin Bereciartua, now the Honorary President and Celebrity of Bilbao -recognized by Bilbao City Council-, who believes that every crisis is an opportunity for real change and improvement. He knew that interpreting the general problems that closed the doors for young people to a promising future as an opportunity to interpret the service.
By 2030, the Novia Salcedo Foundation wants to contribute to the situation of full employment, social protection and decent work for all young people.
How: Leading training to achieve employability through companies and access to decent work from a local and global perspective; Develop research and knowledge in Social Innovation (a particular business model and certain young skills) applied to all its programs, evaluating the results and disseminating them in society; Achieving the commitment of important actors in the political, socio-economic and cultural spheres, active cooperation in their search and awareness of society.
In this way, knowledge and social innovation are the foundations of the work of the Novia Salcedo Foundation in working to support young people in the process of professional and social integration. It has the right initiative and capacity to mobilize top actors to carry out this work and become agents of Social Innovation.
