Nothing, a company founded and run by Carl Peik, one of the founders of OnePlus, has spent months hiding one of the most important features of its first Smart Phone (1) smartphone. We are talking about its price. Until now, the rumor was that it would be around 500 euros, considering that the terminal will be released to the market with the specifications that a mid-range mobile phone deserves, despite its advanced appearance. Unfortunately for the company, the cost of the terminal has ceased to be a secret. Both its price, as well as its color versions and RAM and storage variants have been leaked on the Amazon German website.
One of the new features that allows us to see leaks is that Nothing Phone (1) will not only come in white. So far, the company is showing a lighter version in various images and videos, but the terminal will also be available in black. It will retain, however, a prominent LED system in the background.
Amazon’s list also shows different RAM and storage configurations. The smartphone specifically has 8GB and 128GB models for sale, another with the same RAM capacity and 256GB of internal memory, and finally a more powerful version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of memory.
The basic version of Nothing Phone (1) is also the cheapest of course. It will cost 469.99 euros. A variant with 8 GB and 256 GB of memory will be available for 599.00 euros. This is 130 euros more than the basic setup. For an additional 50 euros, you can buy a variant with 549.99 euros, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
Although the price has not been confirmed by Nothing itself, the London-based company has officially unveiled some key features of this Nothing Phone (1). These include its processor. Carl Peik specifically confirmed that the terminal will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+ chip, a processor very similar to the performance of the Snapdragon 778, but that the ‘Plus’ model is compatible with wireless charging and reversible charging.
On the other hand, the Nothing Phone (1) can have a dual main camera of 50 and 16 megapixels, as well as a 6.55-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In addition, its battery is expected to be around 4,500 mAh. The terminal, let us remember, will be announced on July 12th.
Founded by former OnePlus founder Carl Pei, Nothing is on the verge of releasing its first phone, and it’s safe to say that it has a different design to almost every phone on the market.
With a semi-transparent design of the Nothing Ear (1) headphones released last year, the Phone (1) features a tempting image bar with a white design, transparent background and exclusive LEDs.
The downside? It won’t be as easy as buying an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy on the day of launch. In fact, it can only be purchased if you receive an invitation, and the waiting list is open to the most enthusiastic fans.
If you are interested in buying Nothing Phone (1), here's everything you need to know: from its availability to the exclusive pre-purchase process and the possibility of selling it at operators and other stores.
Nothing Phone (1) will be unveiled at an event on July 12, 2022, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will be launched on that day. As with most cell phones, it is likely to be available in a few days.
It should be noted, however, that Germany’s AllRound PC technology site says it has received information about the price and availability of a “European distributor” that will go on sale on July 21st.
Nothing has confirmed that Phone (1) will be available to operating partners across Europe, including Spain, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, but is not expected to launch in the US or Canada. It probably won’t be for Latin America either.
Just as we don’t know exactly when it will come out, we don’t even know how much Nothing Phone (1) will cost. However, it is expected to be surprisingly cheap.
Nothing Ear headphones (1) can serve as an example. Despite bringing in premium features like the ANC and wireless charging, the headphones went on sale at a base price of 99 euros.
Considering what we know so far about Nothing Phone (1), we think its price could be around € 500. This is backed up by the fact that an anonymous European store has suggested the same thing.
