Madrid4Tech is back

The main event that connects technological talent with leading companies in the sector has held its fifth edition.

The capital city of Madrid was once again the stage for Madrid4Tech, which returned last October 9 for its V edition. This meeting is already one of the most important in the field of technological employment, and it brought together hundreds of professionals and those interested in the technological sector.

The event organized by the IMMUNE Technology Institute, a technological training center, called both face-to-face, at its headquarters in Castellana Pasealekua, number 89, and virtually, to specialists in the fields of Data Science, Cybersecurity, Web Development, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing and UX/UI design and Iberdrola, CaixaBank Tech, AWS, Telefónica and Accenture had the cooperation of large companies, among others.

The conference began with an opening session, where the impact of artificial intelligence in the last two years was discussed, addressing the different attitudes between techno-optimism and techno-cynicism, with the participation of experts in the sector.

There was the intervention of Iberdrola, which faced the challenges of cyber security in the context of renewable energies, and CaixaBank Tech, which discussed the applications of artificial intelligence in the management of big data.

In addition, this edition saw the presentation of ExpoIMMUNE, a space where IMMUNE students will have the opportunity to present their projects in front of leading companies, demonstrating their skills in a professional environment and facilitating key connections with the business ecosystem.

 

Various actions

The event concluded with hands-on workshops led by AWS and cloud experts and sessions on employability and opportunities in the technology sector, an area that continues to demand qualified profiles in areas such as cyber security, web development, artificial intelligence and UX/UI design.

In the words of Juan Riva, CEO and founder of the IMMUNE Technology Institute: "With this new edition of Madrid4Tech and the presentation of ExpoIMMUNE, we want to continue creating connection points between experienced technology professionals and companies looking to face challenges in digital transformation. The demand for profiles with STEM skills continues to grow exponentially, and it is essential to provide such spaces to promote talent in technology."

Thus, according to the 2023 World Economic Forum, the employment of data analysts and scientists, big data specialists, artificial intelligence and machine learning specialists and cyber security professionals is estimated to grow by 30% until 2027. Furthermore, based on Digitization, 2 million new jobs are expected to be created, such as e-commerce specialists, digital transformation specialists and digital marketing and strategy specialists.
