Leaders of the world of Vocational Training will gather in San Sebastián in October to proclaim 'excellence for all'
The World Meeting of Vocational Training, World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) World Congress 2020 will take place in San Sebastián from 11 to 16 October. it aims to provide value, regardless of the vocation, origin or socio-economic and cultural level of the students.
Registration for the conference has already opened and will attract more than 600 Vocational Training professionals from around the world to the Kursaal Congress Center in San Sebastian. Donostia-San Sebastián has witnessed the last meeting held in Sydney (Australia) in 2018. This is the second time in Europe that Tknika (a vocational research center promoted by the Department of Education of the Basque Government) and the Association of Colleges (AOC) of the United Kingdom, together with the WFCP, have been held in Europe.
This week of Vocational Training, which will take place in October, will train professionals from different countries in the best practices and a benchmark in the world of Vocational Training systems, in the model of the Basque Autonomous Community. The European Commission has chosen the Basque Country as a platform of excellence, taking it as a model for building the future model of European Vocational Training. The Basque system is organized around Tknika, a research and applied innovation center promoted by the Basque Government's Vice-Minister for Vocational Training.
Various activities will be held from October 11 to 16, and the conference will be held on October 15 and 16. The talks will focus on three major sets of topics closely linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Vocational Training in the Global Economy, including the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Digitalization and Fields 4.0, Inclusion and Vocational Excellence Platforms, All Gender Equality or Migration combined with in-depth discussions.
The slogan of the congress, ‘Excellence for all’, is a strong and avant-garde Vocational Training that is necessary to leave no one behind and that knows how to anticipate the future labor market.
