To begin with, the company has announced that this vehicle will be priced from $25,900, a very attractive amount for a solar car that impresses with an impressive range of 1,600 kilometers on a single charge. Also, if you leave the car parked in the sun, its solar cells will take care of charging the battery.

It must be said that this project has been in the works for many years, but Aptera Motor did not get enough money. Now, in its latest funding round, it has secured the 40 million investment it needed to be able to fulfill its goal of starting production of this solar car.

We are talking about a two-seater that already has 22,000 firm reservations, a natural thing, on the other hand, considering the features offered by this electric car with solar panels. The reason for the success? To begin with, this two-seater with more than four meters achieves a coefficient of wind resistance of 0.13, thanks to which it significantly increases the autonomy.

And therein lies the success of the Aptera solar car: the cost per kilometer ratio is unmatched. With a futuristic looking design, Aptera's new solar car comes in two versions.

The first front-wheel-drive model with a 136 hp electric motor, or combined with motors on each axle to provide 204 hp all-wheel drive. Depending on the model you choose, you can enjoy a battery that offers 402 kilometers (25 kWh), 644 kilometers (40 kWh), 966 kilometers (60 kWh) or 1,600 kilometers (100 kWh).

To that we have to add the solar panels that the vehicle has and that can be recharged leaving the vehicle parked to enjoy an additional autonomy of 26 to 64 kilometers, to get rid of more than one dam.

It should be said that the Aptera will start reaching customers at the end of the year, starting at a price of 25,900 dollars for the model with 402 kilometers of autonomy, the most complete version is 48,300 dollars and has 204 HP and 1600 kilometers of autonomy.
