The first TV wrapper

After several years of development, LG has announced that it will launch one of its most innovative and promising designs: the LG Signature OLED R TV wrapper (RX model). For now, the device will be available in South Korea, in the top seven consumer electronics stores across major centers across the country. And to get one, you need $ 87,000 — just over $ 73,000.

“The LG Signature OLED R is the same definition of the exclusive term; a masterpiece that will be appreciated by customers who demand the best and can recognize the true value of advanced innovation. As well as being an excellent user-focused engineering and design work, this TV is a work of art that will enhance any space and shape any lifestyle, ”says the South Korean company.

Presented at the 2019 CES in Las Vegas, each TV is manufactured in detail in the advanced facilities of South Korean technology company Gumi, where it is assembled with “craftsmanship” and “attention to each”.

Customers can choose from four shades of coating: Black Signature, Moon, Blue Topaz or Caramel Brown - black, gray, blue or brown - and customize their unit engraved on the aluminum base of a name or message.

It’s the world’s first round-the-clock TV, and to achieve that, the LG Signature OLED Rk has a flexible 65-inch OLED display and 4K resolution, which uses pixel technology for automatic lighting and individual dimming controls to deliver the ultimate image. ”“ It’s called Rk TV storage, but TV is also a revolutionary in the home entertainment space, redefining the relationship between TV and the surrounding space, ”emphasizes LG.

The creation of the South Korean brand “frees users from the confines of the wall,” allowing homeowners to choose their lifestyle “without having to save space for a large black screen that is only useful when it’s turned on,” they conclude.

In development

In recent years, TV manufacturers have made great efforts to keep their solutions as intrusive as possible. The transition from CRT models, with cathode ray tubes, to televisions with plasma, LCD and OLED technology led to a significant reduction in volume and weight. However, the proposals we can buy today, especially models with significant diagonals, continue to take up a lot of space and require our attention, even when turned off.

This situation, which we all know so well, could soon begin to change. And LG unveiled its new OLED rotary panel TV at the latest CES in Las Vegas, USA: the Signature OLED TV 65R9. It has long been known that the South Korean brand is linking to flexible OLED panels, but the presentation of this TV, the first in this category, has confirmed that flexible panels have already come out of the lab and are ready to land in our homes.
The artificial intelligence that we can find in many of LG’s products, such as smartphones or previous TVs, is also present in this model of OLED round panel. However, the South Korean brand has caught the public with unexpected news: both this TV and the AI models that will launch from 2019 will be compatible with Apple’s AirPlay 2 technology and HomeKit home automation service. So they will be able to live with the Cupertino branded product ecosystem.

The direct result of this TV’s compatibility with AirPlay 2 is the ability to play videos from iTunes, as well as other videos, music, photos, and other content that can be downloaded directly from Apple devices.
