The first 469 customers will be able to reserve an exclusive Founders Edition of the innovative LAVOIE e-scooter. This limited edition of 469 pieces pays homage to the first two electric wheels patented in April 1869. Founders Edition owners will have exclusive access to early product releases, updates and private events.

Series 1 comes in two versions defined by battery size. The standard Series 1 has a capacity of 468 Wh and sells for 1,890 euros, while the 702 Wh Series 1 Max costs 2,190 euros. This results in a range of 40 km for the 1 Series and 60 km or 38 miles for the 1 Series MAX on a single charge at an average speed of 20 km/h in urban environments. The unlimited top speed of the 1 Series is over 40 km/h, and will be limited to 25 km/h in the relevant regions.

All 1 Series models can be reserved now via the Lavoie website with a £500 refundable deposit, and confirmed production slots will be allocated to customers upon order. It is also possible to book with a full payment deposit and a 5% discount.

LAVOIE has made security one of its development priorities. The Series 1 battery is housed in a waterproof hard case and has been designed and certified to meet the highest US and European safety standards. It is expected to be one of the most secure devices in the industry, while delivering top-notch performance that matches the brand's heritage.

High performance folding electric scooter

The Lavoie 250W charger works fast, charging a full battery in less than three hours. The 1 Series has three power modes, so the rider can choose the ride they want, from powerful to relaxed. Mode 1 is a more eco-friendly option, Mode 2 is an efficient and comfortable way to ride, and Mode 3 is for full power and full speed. The maximum power and speed of each mode can be adjusted through the Lavoie app.

The most defining feature of the Series 1 is the FlowfoldTM folding system. With the push of a button, the stem folds and the wheel rolls over the deck, giving it a disruptive shape. FlowfoldTM allows for a longer and wider deck, and the 1 Series can be folded into one of the most compact electric scooters in its class. This makes for a much safer and more comfortable ride thanks to the increased stem angle, car-like steering, freer foot position and shock and vibration absorption. FlowfoldTM also makes the kickstand obsolete. An intermediate position, called Park Mode, places the electric scooter in a perfectly stable, cushioned resting position.

Driver safety and road safety are intrinsic to the 1 Series design ethic and the LAVOIE approach to redefining micro-mobility. The sophisticated lighting system of the 1 Series has been designed to significantly improve safety. A halo light, presence lamps, rear brake and driver lighting LEDs highlight the user's position on the road, while turn signals make turns safer.
