129 Navarre students from 11 schools obtained their secondary school diplomas this academic year, after spending two weeks in 100 companies of the Provincial Community. These students, therefore, have participated in an experience that aims to bring the students of Compulsory Secondary Education (DBH) closer to the world of work early. This experience allows students to stay in a company for two weeks.
Through this initiative, 3rd year secondary school students taking the Learning and Performance Improvement Program have the opportunity to have their first contact with the world of work, spending a two-week stay in nearby companies or institutions.
LaborDBH XIII. in the edition, the following schools took part: IESO Valle del Aragon in Zarrakaztelo, La Paz Primary School in Cintruenigo, Bardea Secondary School in Corte, Tierra Estella High School in Iruña Lizarra, Marqués de Villena High School in Marcilla.
Training for the academic future
The program is a teaching and learning activity that is part of the Academic and Professional Guidance Plan of the high school guidance departments. 120 students, 23 teachers and 100 companies took part in this course. The activities in the following sectors are: hairdressing and aesthetics, livestock, sports activities, trade and cooking, construction, IT, hospitality, mechanization, park and garden maintenance, telecommunications, pharmacy, image and sound, administration and health.
Participating schools have actively participated in the development of the program and have evaluated this early experience very positively. Through this, the participating students get to know the working reality better, promote an entrepreneurial spirit and get better training to make decisions about their academic and professional future.

LaborESO is an experience that gives Compulsory Secondary Education students an early start in the world of work.
Students stay in a company for two weeks, which allows them to improve their self-knowledge, skills and interests, and also get to know the working reality better, having direct contact with it.
This experience facilitates the decision-making process that students have to make regarding their academic and professional future when they finish secondary school. At the same time, it helps to promote the entrepreneurial spirit of young people through the knowledge of the business world.
- During the school period.
- Education centers set specific end dates.
- The student will spend 2 weeks in a company during his regular schedule (including weekends).
- During this period, the student will stop going to his education center to continue the experience.
Student stay in the company
- The student will be treated as an employee.
- Will perform non-hazardous basic tasks.
- The company will appoint a preferred guardian.
- The student will learn to follow a work schedule and obey a hierarchy.
