The ‘Kaixo ComunESS’ meeting will be held this coming October in Bilbao; three days of work during the weekend of the 4th to the 6th for which a good number of activities have been organised and the aim of being able to debate with a group of professionals from the world of communication, share experiences and build new ideas, “so that there will be more and more of us who come forward to change the world”…
This event highlights the importance of normalising communication in the feminine, promoting responsible consumption and criticising the prevailing system. Being part of ‘comunESS’ means taking actions such as trawling through data banks to communicate without stereotypes, prioritising the values of the social economy over capital and making quality social communication.
This meeting will feature the presence of Mari Cavigila, Eco-rat shopkeeper and promoter of sustainable habits; Judith Membrives i Llorens, Head of Digital Policies at Lafede.cat – Federation of Organisations for Global Justice, which is also part of the EU-AI group, a European network for the defence of digital rights, is also a founding member of the Algorights community (a national organisation that advocates for the participation of civil society in the governance of artificial intelligence)…etc.; Chaimaa Boukharsa AFROCOLECTIVA, Philologist with a degree in Arabic and Islamic studies, anti-racist and decolonial communicator, Co-founder of Afrocolectiva, an anti-racist, Afro-feminist and pan-Africanist media and deconstruction outlet; Marta G. Franco, is part of the digital strategies collective Laintersección and the network on artificial intelligence and rights Algorights, and has also participated in hacktivist, feminist and free culture initiatives; she has worked in journalism, cultural mediation and political communication.
