On November 15, Bilbao will host the fifteenth edition of the ITS Euskadi Congress, which brings together the industrial sector that works on products, technologies, solutions and services for smarter mobility, that is, more efficient, safe and clean.
It will be held at the Bilbao Maritime Museum, Itsasmuseum, and 14 presentations will be given, covering practical cases and exploring the opportunities that the introduction of innovative technologies brings to mobility and to the Basque Country. In this sense, experiences such as the unified toll management system in Bizkaia, the Low Emission Zone in London, the Cairo monorail or the remote operation of an industrial vehicle will be shown, exploring both advantages and opportunities and lessons learned.
The event will also show practical cases, specifically how the infrastructure influenced the Itzulia bicycle accident and what opportunities autonomous inspection systems can offer to prevent it. In addition, other applications derived from the use of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, V2X connectivity (vehicle to X -everything-) or enriched maps will be presented.
The event is organized by the Mobility and Logistics Cluster of Euskadi, with the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. The opening will be attended by the Deputy for Infrastructure and Territorial Development of the Provincial Council, Carlos Alzaga, and the Deputy Mayor and Delegate for the Area of Mobility and Sustainability of the Bilbao City Council, Nora Abete, accompanied by Eduardo Lasa, President of the cluster association.
