iPhone SE 2022, with 5G

With the release of the iPhone 13, it looks like the next phone to be released by Cupertino, probably the iPhone SE 3, will be the third generation of the company's cheapest model, the brand's 5G mobile, as well as the cheapest model in Cupertino history. This model retains the essence of the original iPhone, has an ultra-compact size and a very classic design, which in this case is still quite conservative. We know more about what Apple can offer at the launch of this new mobile phone today.

Basically, what has been revealed is the launch window for this new model, which according to TrendForce analysts will be launched in the first quarter of 2022. Specifically, at the end of March, two years after his predecessor was completely confined due to the pandemic. This model would be the first in this range with 5G connectivity, thanks to the inclusion of the Apple A15 Bionic processor that carries the iPhone 13, although it will probably have a lower clock speed than these; so his range will be a little weaker than that of his brethren.

Therefore, we would already have an approximate launch date, which is fully in line with everything we have known about the launch of these devices in recent years. The third generation is not expected to offer much more innovation than the processor. In fact, it looks like the design will continue, inspired by the iPhone 8, with a 4.7-inch screen. It is not ruled out that the camera will also be improved, although it remains simple, with a single sensor, perhaps borrowed from the iPhone 12 or even 13. The essence of this model is to keep the spirit of the original iPhone, a light and compact mobile phone that works very well after several years.

So we shouldn't expect other developments that we've seen on branded tablets, for example, such as a 120Hz screen with smaller edges, and especially the deletion of Touch ID, replacing it with another built into the power button as we saw in iPad Air or Mini. Therefore, the reality is that this will be a mobile phone following the previous one, but updated with 5G connectivity, which is now almost essential in a new mobile. The existence of an iPhone SE Plus is also rumored, perhaps with something bigger and a better camera, but at the moment it is not mentioned in the announcements about the launch of this model. It is the cheapest mobile phone in the Apple range, priced at around 500 euros or less, as is the case with the current model.

The iPhone SE 2020 is Apple's cheapest terminal. Its 4.7-inch screen and iPhone 8-inspired design have worked well over the years, but those lines may be a trip back in time to a new device. As a result, there are reasons to believe that the 2022 model may come with a new look.

Does the iPhone come huge and cheap?

It has also been announced that Apple will launch a cheaper 6.7-inch iPhone. At the moment the details are even scarcer. There are no possible names, prices, or hardware features.

The supposed terminal would have a diagonal screen at the height of the iPhone 12 Pro Max or iPhone 13 Pro Max. These are the two most expensive and advanced smartphones in the company. It seems that this mobile phone would arrive in the second half of 2022.
It has also been rumored that Apple will introduce an iPhone 14 with a new perforated screen design with some of its variants and other features. The forecast for the Touch ID below the screen has also changed. It is expected to arrive in 2023, not 2022.
