Ikea and Iberdrola have signed an agreement to promote sustainable mobility. In this way, they will place more than 50 charging points
or electronic vehicles and 100% renewable energy in stores and their corporate facilities. Through this agreement, Ike will allow free access to all its customers for their electric vehicles. Malaga, Badalona and Zaragoza all have the opportunity to become the first.
At the same time, Iberdrola will place charging points in the central office of San Sebastián de los Reyes and in the logistics center of Valls (Tarragona). In every store in Spain, the charging points will start to set up and all of them will be set for 2019.
100% Renewable Energy
Ikea customers and users will be able to recharge the electric car electric vehicle and it will be renewable energy by 100% from renewable energy sources, with guarantee certificates.
Likewise, Iberdrola customers may or may not recharge their vehicles with a special application. The company has created a special app within the Smart Mobility project when it comes to mobile charging. In this way, the Iberdrola public charging app will allow the drivers of the vehicles to make and pay for their loads.
Iberdrola's Sustainable Mobility Plan
The agreement will be to promote the sustainable mobility of Iberdrola and the electrification of transport, as well as the fight against climate change.
The company is developing a Sustainable Mobility Plan and plans to install 25,000 charging points in Spain four years ago.
